Take time to set thoughtful healthy goals:

Even if your resources are limited, there are still many ways to invest in your health that are less expensive. Here are a few techniques to establish your health goals and stay committed to achieving results:

  1. Write down 3 attainable goals for your health. Be specific: rather than saying that you plan to get more exercise or cook more, add a numerical value to each goal by committing to losing a specific amount of fat or cooking 5 meals a week at home.
  2. Write down how you’ll reach these goals. Think practically about what you can begin doing right now to get on track. For the examples above, it might be to start strength training 4 days a week, or finding recipes and planning the days you’ll shop for ingredients and cook at home.
  3. Re-write your goals again in places where you will be constantly reminded of them. This will serve to maintain a consistent, positive focus of your objective.
